HAI GAIZ

Soooo, xanga, we meet once again.

AP History is totally kicking my butt. I have, like, a 76, or something awful like that. On the upside, I managed to muster up a 4.36 last marking period. Not too shabby, I must say.

We got out early today, that was nice. I took a nap, and it ended up being four hours long.

Did I mention the English paper that's also kicking my butt?

I finished up a book today. It was most excellent. It's called Resurrection Men, and it's about the body-snatching trials of the 1830's. Apparently, because there were so many discoveries in medicine, and doctors wanted to take a little peek at people's organs, people would snatch bodies. Like, they would steal bodies out of graves, and sell them to doctors.

And what happens to the main character is quite possibly the most depressing thing that I have ever read, ever. And I just finished The Bell Jar (which I also recommend.) I won't say too much, in case anyone's interested in it(like anyone will read this), butwithin the first two chapters, his parents get slayed in front of him, he's sold to work as a cabin boy, falls from the mast and breaks his leg, only to be thrown overboard.

Sheesh.

I got some new Pokemon cards this weekend, they're pretty nice. Got a pretty snazzy holographic Venosaur. =]

P.S.-Go check out the new Potter Puppet Pals. It's boss.

Well Hai Tharr.

Good very early morning, xanga. It has been a very long time since I last updated you. I really hope you don't feel neglected or unloved, because you are.

WOW. So much has happened since I last wrote. Well, obviously, it's been almost five months, but this is honestly the busiest summer I've ever had in my life. And yes, some of you may be thinking, "Well, in comparison to your past summers, Colleen, that probably means that you went to the beach this summer or something." And yes, yes I did go to the beach, but that's not all I did. =]

Okay, well, let's back-track to before school let out. If I remember correctly, I got saved about three or four days AFTER the last time I wrote in here, and that is the most amazing experience I've ever had in my life. Then everything was pretty cool for a while, I mean, I had my up's and down's, but then again, who hasn't?

I went to see Anberlin in concert in May, and that was a pretty freaking sweet show. Jonezetta was really good, too, Daphne Loves Derby was aiight, and PlayRadioPlay almost gave me heart failure due to the volume of their techno whatchamahoozit.

The house went up for sale, had the price lowered two times, and was taken off the market. On the parent front, the divorce will be finalized soon, my dad's keeping the house, and my mom's *hopefully* moving into one of the houses on Suzanne's lane. So, that's all fine and dandy.

So, this summer was crazzzzzy. First of all, pretty much two days after school left out, I went down to the beach and invaded Suzanne's senior week beach trip for a few days, but it was a lot of fun. Not too long after that was Kristin's graduation/birthday bonanza, and that was a lot of fun. I instigate an icing fight. Mwahahahahahaha. Then I had about a week and a half off, and I had band practice and what have you, and then I went to nanotechnology camp.

Nano camp was, surprisingly, a lot of fun. I learned a lot about computers and how they're using nanotechnology more and more in products; it was all very interesting. The dorm we stayed in at Penn State wasn't the greatest. However, I don't plan on going there so I'm not really worried about it.

The day after I got back from nano camp I went to Creation. Creation was amazzzzzzzzzzzing. I'm a little disappointed that I'm going to miss it next year, but I'm going to be in Germany, so really, I shouldn't be complaining. Anyway, Creation gets a definite Thumbs Up. Toby Mac is amazing. Actually, every band/artist/what have you that I saw and/or heard on the radio was really good. I liked it a lot.

I left from Creation and went on an RV trip with Suzanne and her parents, where we toured Northern Pennsylvania, and also went to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. It was fun. I like nature, but not the steep inclines the trails are made on. I met a German guy who was there with his family, and he gave me some advice and what have you. Pretty nifty.

Following the RV trip, I had a week or so with nothing planned, and then it was Suzanne's surprise birthday party. It was pretty kickin', if I do say so myself.

The day after the party I left for Ireland and England. That trip was... fantabulous. I absolutely adore Ireland, & I'm seriously considering moving there. It's beautiful there. Everything is so green, and all of my relatives were so inviting and kind... it was just amazing. I miss all of them a lot, but a few of them are playing with the Boston Symphonic Orchestra in November, so we're going to drive to see them. I'm hoping that after I get back from Germany, I can go there again for a few weeks. I really think I belong there.

England was pretty neat, too. We did more of the tourist-y stuff there, like the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Hampton Court Palace, stuff like that. AND I rode on a double-decker bus.

We got back from there, and I had a little chillax time before band camp, which was a fun experience, as it was the previous two years. The day after THAT, I went to the Poconos. I got home on Friday.

I still haven't handed in my A.P. Calc assignment, but it was only due Friday, and I plan on getting it done... today.

This entire week is packed, and then next Monday...... school starts.

My bus comes at 6:17.

Blech.

Deine Mutter glaubt du sollst auf Deutsch sprechen!

Title= best comeback evar. We had a Hobby Fair in German, and someone was giving me lip about not answering questions in German, so, I reply the way anyone else would have, which would be "Your mother thinks you should speak German!" auf Deutsch. I know, you're jealous of my amazing wit, but what I can say?

The children's musical was great. "Do these pants make me look fat?" AY-uhnd, everyone was sooooooo jealous of my Ninja Turtle (which I forgot to bring to school today, I'll bring it tomorrow.)

My father and I chilled yesterday, which was pretty cool, because I hadn't seen him in a week or two. Crazy stuff. We went to Chili's, which was a lot of fun.

My computer mouse is acting really goofy, and that makes me incredibly sad.

OH! I almost completely forgot. I have started the "Thumbs Up" Awards, which I award to one person a day. They're pretty sweet, and completely hand-made. If you want to call one (weekdays only) I will be more than happy to make you one. March 27th and the last day of school have already been called. Other than that, they're all fair game. It's my way of spreading happiness throughout the school. :) Kind of to make up for the fifteen years of sarcastic bitterness. But only a little bit.

OH NOES TEH WEATHER.

Well, everyone, the weather that has occured in the past few days seems to point out one thing to me: MOTHER NATURE NO LONGER HAS A REGULAR CYCLE.

And yes, feel free to 'tee hee' if you thought I was saying the planet has a menstrual cyclem because I laughed, too.

But, fo' rill, though. Even in March, you shouldn't be going from 70 degrees Farenheit beautfiul sunny day, la la la, to HAIL STORM DEATH DEATH DEATH DEATH RAHHHHHHHH.

Doesn't make much sense, does it? However, if you read this article, much will be explained, I do believe. If you don't want to read the entire thing, which I doubt anyone does, then check out the fourth paragraph in the introduction, The Attributed and Expected Effects section, and the Climate models portion. Vurrrry informative, if you ask me.

It's kind of scary, what people are doing to the planet. I'm going to try my best to help the planet, rather than hinder it, but I think we may have already gone too far.

In other news, Britney(is that how you spell it? Probably not, and if so, I'm sorry) Eltman and I have decided we're going to open a translating business together. Except it's not like finalized, but we did pound fists, which means it's pretty much going to happen. I think. When we've like......... graduated, and stuff. Psshhhh on details anyway.

Mmmmmmmmmm, kay.

Dear THE SUCK,

Please stop making surprise visits to my life. It wasn't funny the first time, and I most certainly do not think it's funny now. SRSLY.

Love, Colleen

So my mom got laid off yesterday. And she's going to stay at her sister's for a week. And she's thinking about moving to Philly.

My life is pretty much instafail. It's almost frustrating at this point. CAN'T ANYTHING GO RIGHT FOR THIRTY FREAKING SECONDS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

And I have a C in Chemistry. Sorry University of Pennsylvania, but I'm ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

(No offense meant to those who attend community college. If it's what you want do, go for it.)
